Anego-no-Hama ( Anego Beach) |
Nakizuna beach / An amazing quartz sand beach that produces a squeaking
sound stepped on
Anego Beach (Anego-no-Hama; 1.1km long, 20m wide, a bow shape) locates
just under the Nijo Parking Area. You can hear the mysterious squeaking
sound when you step on the quartz sand beach. This sound is from the quartz
rubbing against each other when you step on. It proves this beach is very
clean and beautiful.
The quartz hadn’t sounded before and we cleaned the water. As a result,
the sand came to squeak again…it is very unusual and amazing! There are
no other beaches all through Japan that come to squeak again
Nakizuna beach is only in Anego-no-Hama in Kyushu.
Anego-no-Hama is also famous for the beautiful view of sunset and islands
in Genkainada, and you can see Iki far in the distance in a sunny day.
Furthermore, this beach is very popular among people enjoying surfing all
through the year.
